On Monday, July 21, 2014, the local DEP Northcentral Regional Office held their quarterly round table meeting at Seewald Laboratories, Inc. Seewald welcomed the Department and numerous guests from local business, industry, academic, government, environmental and public interest groups. The roundtable visit consisted of an informational meeting, lab tour, as well as a question and answer session. Members learned about Seewald’s history of providing quality analytical testing services to the local community for 75 years including the impact of the Marcellus Shale exploration.
Each calendar quarter since 1984 the DEP Northcentral Regional Citizens roundtable has been meeting. The purpose of these meetings are to improve communications between DEP and its various publics by explaining our different programs and regulation, and answering questions. This process allows DEP to receive valuable feedback on proposed regulation or program initiatives.
